The win came after a close loss to non-conference opponent Navy on Tuesday, a game that ended with Loyola conceding the golden goal in extra time.

The win improved the Hounds (8-4-2, 4-0-0 MAAC) conference unbeaten streak to 22 games and strengthened their stranglehold on first place in the MAAC.

The plan has been talked about by NFL officials since this past offseason and many fans seem to be clamoring for the extension, which would add one or two games to the regular season while removing one or two preseason games accordingly.
