The Loyola Men's Soccer program has been filled with success over the past two years, and this year looks to be no different for the program. Tabbed as the preseason champion of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, and garnering a national ranking of 15, the team has a lot to live up to this year.

The Loyola women's volleyball team struggled in their first tournament of the season, the Duquesne/Robert Morris Tournament, dropping all four of their matches in Pittsburgh, PA.
In their first contest Saturday, the Hounds lost 3-1 (10-25, 18-25, 15-25) to tournament host Duquesne University in the Dukes' home gym.

On Aug. 23, the Loyola womenís soccer team earned their first opening-day win since 2005, defeating Mount St. Maryís 1-0 in a game that was controlled by the Hounds.
Loyola was able to snap this three-year streak with a strong effort from their back line, ensuring that the Hounds would need only one goal to win this contest.

Loyola's soccer program has seen a lot of success over the last few years, and during that span a lot of credit has gone to the defense and their abilities. Last year, Loyola's two All-American's came from the defensive end, with Tenant McVea and Milos Kocic receiving first and second team placements.
