The weather lately has been less then stellar, and with this season's clothing trends on lockdown, it's time to liven up these dreary April days with some vibrant spring accessories. Amplified accoutrements were staples on spring runways, and this season when it comes to accessories the bigger and brighter the better.

Heavy metal band, Torche, released their second album, Meanderthal, on April 8, 2008. Critics are saying the album is redefining heavy metal.
Meanderthal balances pop and metal together in such a way where it has the potential of uniting both fan bases. Meanderthal is an important album, as it proves that music does not have to classify itself under one genre, but can cross over to other types.

Brooklyn based indie rock band The Yeah Yeah Yeahs have been making artistically driven garage alt rock since they broke out of the Big Apple in 2003 with their release of Fever To Tell. The edgy guitar style of Nick Zimmer and thumpy drum sounds of Brian Chase complement Karen O's bipolar voice-which fuses the likes of Regina Spektor and Kimberly Deal.
