Brandon Flowers and gang strolled out on to the large stage at the Patriot Center of George Mason University while the speakers in the arena played planetary music and the large screen counted down from ten. The Killers opened the show with the Bowie-esque Martian song, "Spaceman," from their latest album, Day and Age, which makes a few claims about popular media especially with the lyric, "The public don't dwell on my transmission because it wasn't televised.

Push is a sci- fi action thriller due to appear in theatres February 6th. The film, starring Camilla Belle, Chris Evans, and Dakota Fanning, boasts a young, yet talented cast. Push features the story of young telekinetic Nick Gant (Chris Evans), who has the ability to move objects, predict the future and even create alternate realities.

On Jan. 25, 2009 Hollywood hosted the much anticipated SAG awards and famous faces, decked out in outrageous designer dresses, were seen in spades. We saw gowns worn by the finest stars film and television have to offer, and I have taken on the difficult task of designating my favorite and least favorite looks of the night.

Baltimore restaurants participated in "Restaurant Week" this past week. For $30 ($20 for lunch at participating venues), a customer can select an appetizer, entrée and dessert from a limited menu. This presents an opportunity to eat at pricier restaurants for a reasonable expense.
